stuck after installation

Postby alexfung » Wed Mar 31, 2010 9:05 pm

I'm completely new. After installing Sashimi (for the first time) to Storage Card, it says lots of OK, and then Completed.

Then nothing.

No questions on security certificates, no offer to reboot, no menu. The Sashimi status screen just stay there forever (I mean several minutes). The soft keys shown are the soft keys of the application "beneath" it. If I use any of the Sashimi start menu shortcuts, it just jump back to this status screen.

Same behaviour after reboot. Every time I start Sashimi, it gives those OKs and Completed and never the menu where I choose Auto or Manual or other options.

Actually the first reboot is strange. After the first reboot, my start menu (the wm6.5 honey comb) changed the sort order. I can't figure out the sort key it is using, but all folders are at the top, including the Sashimi folder. After a second reboot, the sort order goes back to what it was (ie the order before I installed Sashimi).

Have I missed something?

I am having the same problem. I am stuck after it says "SASHIMI INITIALIZATION COMPLETE-" I have a Touch Pro 2 with Mr. X Rom. It used to work fine, until I started having problems with manual mode complaining about .netcf being out of date, so I updated to .netcf 3.7, but now, it just get stuck.

I can not get any help here. I havent gotten any replies to my previous questions as well.

As far as I can tell, it is a problem of Mortscript with a lots of ROMs. There is nothing SASHIMI can do about it. And Mort doesn't seem to care.

I had similar problems, and found that the "culprit" was G-Light: after stopping it, Sashimi runs fine.

A possible explanation is that whenever MortScript executes a Sleep instruction, the control is yield to G-Alarm (or any other continuously running application, e.g. TaskManager), and that application is giving it back after some time. In my case, MortScript was stuck for 45 seconds before executing the next instruction.

Given the above, it's easy to understand why automated installation to the SC seems to hang: the script is full of Sleeps, and each one of them is stretched!

My workaround was to disable G-Alarm before starting Sashimi, and I suggest anyone that is experiencing these lags to search for an application of this type on their phones.

Hope this helps someone :)

Cheers,

Congratulations :D

But continuously running? G-Alarm doesn't run. Not in the background. It only places itself on the notification queue. How do you stop G-Alarm?
